January meeting date set

The next meeting of the Southern Broadcasting History Group will take place on the 5th January at Bedford Square, London.

The likely schedule is a start at 10am with a finish around 5pm. Optional dinner and drinks afterwards.

July Meeting

The group met on 9th July 2009 for our most recent seminar at the University of Sussex, hosted by Kate Lacey. Hugh Chignell and Pat Holland presented the latest findings of the research on their AHRC funded project 'No Such Thing as Society', and we read articles on broadcasting history from Paddy Scannell and Rudolph Arnheim. The next meeting will be in November/December, either in London or in Wales!
